Independent Kurdish politician Mahmoud Othman warned against dragging Iraq into a war with the Zionist entity and continuing its bombing by some armed factions. Othman said in a statement to the Iraqi National News Agency (NINA): "The continuation of some Iraqi armed factions in striking the Zionist areas will have influential consequences on Iraq in all aspects, especially economic and security, calling for not being dragged into the escalation between Iran and the Zionist entity. Othman stressed that the Iraqi government seeks to prevent the expansion of the war in the Middle East, and its efforts are clear in this regard, but the continuation of some armed factions in bombing the Zionist entity weakens its position in this direction. He pointed out that the Zionist entity does not care about human and material losses during its bombing of Lebanon and Gaza, as it kills hundreds and destroys many buildings for the sake of one goal or one person, and therefore Iraq is not far from the Zionist bombing, and the occurrence of heavy losses in lives and infrastructure if it begins to bomb Iraq if the decision is taken, this matter confuses the Iraqi arena in various directions." Othman called on the Iraqi government to control these factions, to ensure that the war does not expand, and Iraq is not included in it, because it will affect the country in the future.
