Tokyo, The Japan Meteorological Agency reported that an earthquake measuring 6 on the Richter scale struck off the Fukushima region in northeastern Japan on Thursday, without a tsunami warning being issued. The Agency stated that there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries after the earthquake, which was centered at a depth of 40 kilometers and was felt by residents of the capital, Tokyo.
