Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, said his country would continue cooperation and communication with the UN mission and the international community to end the political division and achieve the will of the Libyans to organize presidential and parliamentary elections. Saleh added in a meeting with Deputy Special Representative and Officer-in-Charge of the UN Support Mission in Libya, Stephanie Khoury that the House of Representatives would adhere to the political agreement and the outcomes of the 6+6 Committee. The meeting discussed the latest developments in Libya and the need to exert more efforts and endeavors from various parties to resume the political process, leading to an agreement to unify the executive authority and form a unified government to proceed to organize presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible.
