Israeli media revealed, today, Friday, that a "very senior" Hezbollah official was targeted in the bombing of the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut. The Israeli Channel 12 said that "a very senior Hezbollah official is the target in the concentrated attack carried out by the Israeli army." While the Lebanese News Agency indicated that "an Israeli F-35 aircraft targeted an apartment in (Al-Jamous) area in the southern suburb with two missiles." Media reports said that "the target in the Israeli raid is (Ibrahim Aqil), head of the special operations unit in Hezbollah." The Israeli army announced this evening that it had carried out raids in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, adding, "We carried out a precise raid in the Beirut area, and there has been no change at this stage in the home front instructions."
