Lebanon filed a complaint with the UN Security Council against Israel for flying warplanes over Lebanon and breaking the sound barrier in Lebanese skies. The Lebanese Foreign Ministry stated, "Lebanon condemned in the complaint the [Israeli] breaches that constitute a flagrant violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and airspace and the Security Council resolution 1701." The statement accused Israel of collective punishment and moral intimidation by "terrorising civilians and spreading fear among them, impacting in particular the most vulnerable like children."
