Commander of the Lebanese Army General Joseph Aoun met on Monday with United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert. In its statement, the Lebanese Army said that the meeting discussed developments in Lebanon and the region. The Israeli entity escalated its air strikes and artillery shelling on towns and villages in southern Lebanon, causing dozens of deaths and injuries, forcing residents to flee these areas amid continuing Israeli threats to expand the scope of these attacks.
