Launching training courses in cutting, polishing garnet and leather industries

The Minister of Culture in the caretaker government, Abdullah Ahmed Al-Kibsi, inaugurated on Wednesday training courses in the field of polishing and cutting Yemeni agate and leather industries, at Dar Al-Hamad building in the capital, Sana'a. The training courses organized by the Public Authority for Small and Micro Enterprise Development in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture represented by the General Administration of Crafts and Handicrafts. The Minister of Culture was briefed on the stages of training, treatment and its sections, listening from the Director General of Crafts and Handicrafts, Abdul Quddus Al-Mutawakel, to an explanation of the stages of training courses, materials and machines used. At the inauguration, the Minister of Culture stressed the importance of organizing these important craft training courses, through which the ministry aspires to revive many authentic Yemeni crafts and handicrafts, including garnet, silverware, leather and textile industries. He pointed out that the m inistry, through its bodies, is working through various programs to preserve the cultural and historical heritage of Yemen by holding training courses and specialized workshops to revive traditional industries and open specialized markets that ensure the quality of Yemeni products and maintain their local, Arab and international reputation.
