The Office of Industry and Trade in Hajjah province launched today,Sunday, a campaign to monitor the food supply situation and monitor the markets in conjunction with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. At the inauguration, in the province center, the Director of the Office of Industry and Trade, Mahmoud Wahban, explained that the campaign aims to ensure compliance with prices and consumer protection in all markets. He explained that the campaign comes within the plans of the local authority in the province and the Office of Industry to enhance the supervisory role in the markets and follow up on the rationing , price situation of basic and consumer goods, the demand for their purchase increases during the holy month. He stressed the keenness to implement the campaign despite the scarcity of capabilities, pointing out the lack of complacency in taking the necessary measures against violators and those manipulating citizens' resources. Wahban noted the efforts of the field monitoring teams in implemen ting the campaign and the role of citizens in supporting the office's efforts in this aspect and reporting violators.
