The visiting Kuwaiti Minister of Higher Educational Dr. Nader Al-Jalal on Thursday affirmed the Kuwaiti Government's concern for investing in human resources and reforming the educational system. Dr. Al-Jalal, also the Minister of Scientific Research and the Acting Minister of Education, affirmed necessity of tackling the "challenges and hazards" hampering efforts for attaining development in the Muslim nations. Dr. Al-Jalal's statement was addressed on his behalf by the assistant undersecretary for educational installations and planning at the Ministry of Education Mohammad Al-Khaldi at the two-day conference of education ministers in the Muslim World (organized by ISESCO) that kicked off on Wednesday. The State of Kuwait is steadily seeking to form a promising generation, under command of His Highness the Amir Sheilkh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, within frmaework of the neo Kuwait vision 2035, he said. He alluded to the Amir's Address to the Nation, where he affirmed the leadership's concern for t he human factor as the country's key capital, re-affirming that the State of Kuwait is engaged in reforming the educational system to generate a skilled and competent labor force at the national level. Moreover, Dr. Al-Jalal, in his words read by the assistant undersecretary Al-Khaldi, also referred to His Highness the Amir recommendation that the concerned quarters remain abreast of the rapid changes and informed about the technological innovations and the artificial intelligence. He expressed gratitude to the Sultanate and ISESCO for organizing the convention. For his part, Al-Khaldi said in his personal capacity in a statement to KUNA that the conference was held amid rapid quick transformation "in the era of technology and the artificial intelligence," calling for tightening the gap at this level with the advanced nations. The event grouped more than 31 representatives of educational ministries in Arab nations, officials from ISESCO (Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and ALESCO (Arab League of Educational, Scientific, Cultural Organization), experts from UN agencies, regional and international organizations.
