Chairman of the Kuwait Shooting Sport Club (KSSC) Duaij Al-Otaibi on Wednesday said Kuwaiti national team shooters, Abdullah Al-Tarqi and Iman Al-Shamaa won silver medal in International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) held in Italy. Al-Otaibi added in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) the Kuwaiti shooters Al-Shamaa and Al-Rashidi won the silver medal, after they came in second place behind the United States team duo, Joel Smith and Vincent Hancock, who won gold and ahead the Swedish team shooter. He praised Kuwaiti shooters Al-Shamaa and Al-Rashidi efforts in tournament; in addition KSSC club is preparing the Kuwaiti shooters who will qualify for the next Olympic Games (Paris 2024). The continuation of Kuwaiti shooting victories is a result of the high patronage of the country's political leadership and the support of the General Sports Authority, pledging to intensify work to achieve more achievements for Kuwaiti sports in the upcoming sporting events.
