Kuwait joins other countries in condemning Israeli aggression in occupied Jenin

Kuwait condemned Tuesday the Israeli military campaign against Palestinians in the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.

The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry stated Kuwait's "categorical rejection of this blatant escalation and the continuous attacks carried out by the occupation forces against the brotherly Palestinian people."

The Foreign Ministry said the military campaign in Jenin is a "new series" of Israeli violations of international humanitarian law and international covenants.

It called for an international community and a Security Council intervention stemming from their political, legal and humanitarian responsibilities.

In turn, World Health Organisation (WHO) expressed concern about the scope of the Israeli aggression in Jenin, adding that there are restrictions on supplying Jenin with medical services.

Doctors Without Borders stated that Israeli military bulldozers destroyed roads leading to the refugee camp, making it nearly impossible for ambulances to reach the injured.

Palestinian paramedics had to move on foot in an area of shooting and strikes by drones, according to the statement.
