Kuwait Amir’s Rep. receives WEF chief in New York

Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, received President of the World Economic Forum Borge Brende, in New York late Thursday. During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled conveyed His Highness the Amir's desire to diversify income sources and turn Kuwait into a global economic and investment hub. They also discussed several economic issues, the latest world developments and ways of promoting the joint cooperation mechanism and upgrading the level of bilateral partnership. Present at the meeting were Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs at His Highness the Crown Prince's Diwan Mazen Al-Isa and Kuwaiti Ambassador in the US Sheikha Al-Zain Sabah Al-Naser Al-Sabah.
