Irbid: A delegation from the Korea International Development Agency (KOICA) conducted an on-site assessment of the progress and objectives of a vocational training institute project focused on green skills in Irbid Governorate. Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC), Ahmed Gharaibeh, disclosed that the project is slated to be constructed on a plot of land donated by the Irbid Municipality in the Al Bariha area. KOICA will be providing financial backing for the project through an $8 million grant. Gharaibeh highlighted that the institute's primary emphasis will be on training in environmentally friendly skills demanded by the labor market, including renewable energy, hybrid car maintenance, business intelligence, and other skills relevant to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Hani Abu Hassan, President of the Irbid Chamber of Industry (ICI), shared insights into ICI's collaboration with the VTC and affiliated institutions in the qualification and training of local job-seekers. He under scored the success of ICI's training center, which, since its establishment in 2017, has facilitated around 3,000 sustainable job opportunities and qualified double that number for entry into the labor market. During their visit, the Korean delegation expressed admiration for the constructive cooperation between the VTC and its partners, recognizing the collaborative efforts contributing to the realization of set goals.
