The King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC) organized on Tuesday a seminar on terrorism and its security, political and economic repercussions, as part of the 13th edition of the Annual Warrior Competition, in the presence of the representative of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Commander of the Royal National Defense College, Brigadier General Khaled Bani Younis. In his speech, KASOTC's Director General, Colonel Nael AlShqierat, affirmed that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, will always remain at the forefront of the fight against terrorism, noting that times are changing and so is the nature of terrorism and how to combat it. He explained that the KASOTC keeps pace with these changes and works to develop its training system. The Warrior Competition gives participants a unique opportunity to train and communicate in one of the most advanced combat training facilities in the world, pointing out that t he competition works on the tactical level by building team spirit between Jordanian and international forces cooperating against terrorism, as well as enabling the exchange of the best principles, technology, and equipment. Minister of Government Communications, Muhannad Mubaidin said: "Terrorism is one of the most prominent challenges facing societies and threatens global security and stability. Modern counter-terrorism requires a comprehensive approach that integrates military and security operations with effective media and ideological strategies, in addition to the importance of considering the ideological-informational dimension, which includes the use of information and media to shape and direct the ideologies associated with terrorism."
