Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani considered the accusations of Australia, New Zealand, and Canada against his country for its legitimate defense against the aggressor as baseless. Kanaani said, according to Tasnim International News Agency: These accusations were raised while such countries, by providing weapons to the Zionist regime, are partners in its war crimes against the oppressed Palestinian people. Kanaani condemned the double-edged approach of Australia, New Zealand, and Canada in their joint statement regarding the Zionist regime's previous airstrike on the country's diplomatic headquarters (the Iranian consulate in Damascus) and at the same time condemning the exercise of the Islamic Republic of Iran's inherent right to legitimate defense against the aggressor according to Article 51 of the UN Charter.
