Beit Lahia: Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, located in the north of the Gaza Strip, continues to suffer under a stringent siege, severely impacting its ability to provide necessary medical services. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the hospital is unable to receive essential supplies including medicine, food, medical staff, and ambulances, leaving it in a critical state. The hospital currently accommodates 85 injured children and women who are receiving minimal medical care amid a dire shortage of medicines and supplies. Of these, six patients are in critical condition, requiring intensive care. Additionally, there has been a notable increase in cases of malnutrition, with 17 children arriving at the emergency department showing signs of severe nutritional deficiencies. Tragically, an elderly man succumbed to severe dehydration due to the scarcity of resources. Reports indicate a lack of international intervention or promises to establish a humanitarian corridor, which is urg ently needed to deliver medical supplies, food, and therapeutic milk to address the worsening malnutrition crisis. The situation was further exacerbated when the hospital received an urgent call from the Kahlout family after their home was targeted; however, the hospital's medical teams were unable to assist, resulting in fatalities for those who could not reach the hospital. The hospital has also been impacted by ongoing military actions, with recent bombings targeting a children's dormitory on its third floor, resulting in numerous civilian injuries. The continued bombing has damaged hospital facilities and inflicted injuries on both medical personnel and patients, escalating the humanitarian disaster at Kamal Adwan Hospital.
