The Minister of Justice in the caretaker government, Judge Nabil Al-Azani, met today ,Wednesday, in Sana'a with the head of the Yemeni Lawyers Syndicate, Abdullah Rajeh. The meeting reviewed the work that had been accomplished by the joint coordination committee between the ministry , the union and its work plan for the coming period. The meeting discussed the legal assistance that lawyers provide to insolvent people, ways to reconstitute the disciplinary councils in the Bar Association, and the problems that occurred to lawyers before a number of courts and prosecution offices, in addition to working to form a joint committee to study the possibility of amending the social security regulations for Yemeni lawyers. For his part, the head of the Yemeni Bar Association stressed the importance of strengthening joint work through the coordinating committee to bring viewpoints closer between the two sides, pointing out that there are some challenges that still face lawyers in the courts and prosecution offices. He pointed out the need to overcome any challenges and work to enhance joint cooperation to contribute to improving the level of work and serving the wings of justice in general. In turn, the head of the technical office at the Ministry of Justice, Judge Khaled Al-Baghdadi, appreciated the constructive cooperation between the Ministry and the Bar Association, which led to the success of the work of the joint committee between the two sides, indicating that the coming period will witness the implementation of many activities. On the sidelines of the meeting, the members of the Joint Coordination Committee were honored with the shield of Justice Ministry and certificates of appreciation for their distinguished and fruitful efforts in providing legal aid to the indigent.
