King Abdullah II of Jordan and US President Joe Biden discussed, during a phone call on Friday evening, the efforts made to reach an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and end the humanitarian crisis in the Strip. King Abdullah stressed the need to stop the war on Gaza immediately, and to ensure the entry of sufficient humanitarian aid through all crossings and its delivery to civilians in various areas without any obstacles or delays. The two sides also discussed developments in the West Bank and the need to support the Palestinian National Authority. King Abdullah II stressed the need to stop all unilateral steps, attacks by extremist settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank, and violations of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Al-Quds. He reiterated the importance of the role of the United States in finding a political horizon to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.
