Fahmy underlined the importance of the conference as it reminds the world that there is an important issue, which is the Palestinian cause, with the participation of Arab partners, led by Jordan and Egypt, with their great importance, as Jordan is the custodian of the holy sites, and its role is present in the West Bank in coordination with the Palestinian side as well as Egypt's presencein the Gaza Strip, so this conf erence will push European countries and donor institutions to work together and interact with the parties concerned with managing this file. Furthermore, Ambassador Rakha Ahmed Hassan, former Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister, said that hosting this conference by Jordan comes at an exceptional time that reflects the Kingdom and Egypt's great interest to resolve the Palestinian issue and stop the aggression on Gaza as a national security issue for the two countries, as well as the humanitarian responsibility of Amman, Cairo and the Arab brothers.
