Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, on Thursday met with US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Barbara A. Leaf. The discussions went over halting the Israeli aggression on Gaza and advancing the prisoner exchange deal with the efforts of Egypt, Qatar, and the United States and emphasized the urgent need to secure delivery of "consistent and sustainable" humanitarian aid to all areas of the strip, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
