Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and UK Foreign and Development Secretary David Lammy Wednesday discussed ties and ending the "dangerous" regional escalation and a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon. Safadi and Lammy warned of the danger of the continued escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region and the need to stop it and prevent its escalation immediately. Safadi urged launching an effective and immediate international move to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza and Lebanon and to end the illegal measures and escalating Israeli attacks in the occupied West Bank. Safadi and Lammy urged delivering sufficient aid to all parts of Gaza to confront what Safadi confirmed is an "unprecedented humanitarian disaster" exacerbated by Israel's continued aggression and preventing the entry of humanitarian aid needed by the Strip. Safadi warned of the danger of the international community continuing to allow the Israeli government to continue its aggression and violate inte rnational law, international humanitarian law, the UN Charter and international legitimacy resolutions. Safadi discussed Jordan's absolute support for Lebanon, its security, stability and the safety of its citizens and condemned the aggression against it, urging the full implementation of Security Council Resolution 1701. The top diplomats discussed the coordination between Jordan and the UK ending the regional escalation and finding a real horizon to achieve based on the two-state solution. Safadi urged establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with occupied East Jerusalem as its capital based on the two-state solution as "the only way to achieve security."
