Jordan Grand Mufti, Dr. Ahmed Hasanat, on Tuesday received Grand Mufti of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nauryzbai Haji Taganuly, and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, Hasanat briefed the Kazakhstani delegation on the work mechanism of Jordan Iftaa' Department, which is at the forefront of fatwa houses in the world, due to its independence. Hasanat also noted the department's approach is based on moderation, pointing to the technical development in providing services via modern means to deliver fatwa (religious edicts) to beneficiaries. For his part, the Kazakhstani official affirmed his confidence in Jordan Iftaa' Department and his constant keenness to benefit from its expertise and pass it on to Kazakhstani students residing in the Kingdom, as a reference Islamic jurisprudence body.
