Jordan's imports of mobile devices reached approximately 1.5 million units in the first three quarters of 2024, with a total value of about JD127 million. This marks a significant increase compared to the same period in 2023, when imports totaled 1.276 million devices valued at JD111.6 million. According to Ahmad Aloush, President of the Vision Association for Cellular Device Investors and Accessories, these figures, reported by the Jordanian General Customs Department, underscore the accuracy of the data and reflect robust commercial activity within the country's mobile device market. Aloush highlighted the importance of monitoring this growth and the fluctuations in consumer demand. He noted that the 17.5% increase in the number of imported devices compared to the previous year indicates a rising market demand for new technology and a need to satisfy evolving consumer preferences.
