Amman: Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry Wednesday discussed the ongoing preparations for the Gaza Emergency Humanitarian Response Conference. The conference, organised by Jordan, Egypt and the UN, will be held at the Dead Sea in Jordan on June 11 at the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and United Nations Secretary-General Ant?nio Guterres for world leaders and heads of international humanitarian organisations. Safadi and Shoukry said the conference aims to find practical steps that ensure the immediate, appropriate and sustainable delivery of humanitarian and emergency medical aid, accelerate and organise the process of providing relief, identify ways to strengthen the international community's response to the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, meet operational and logistical needs and various types of necessary support.
