Amman: Jordan has issued a strong condemnation of the recent Israeli airstrikes on Beit Lahia and Sheikh Radwan in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the deaths of 80 civilians and left dozens injured, primarily women and children. The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs described these actions as a blatant breach of international law. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the ministry emphasized that the attacks violate the Geneva Convention on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 1949. The ministry considers these actions as additional war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the region. Sufyan Al-Qudah, the official spokesperson for the ministry, reiterated Jordan's strong opposition to Israel's repeated violations of international law and its systematic targeting of civilians. He criticized the United Nations Security Council for failing to reach a resolution to impose a ceasefire amid the ongoing aggression. Al-Qudah called on the international comm unity to fulfill its legal and moral duties by compelling Israel to cease its military actions in Gaza, adhere to international law, and hold accountable those responsible for these crimes. He urged immediate intervention to stop the humanitarian disaster unfolding in the region.
