Minister of Public Works and Housing Maher Abu Saman met with Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Chen Chuandong on Monday to discuss enhancing cooperation between Jordan and China in the housing, construction, and contracting sectors. During the meeting, Abu Saman commended China's support for various development and infrastructure projects in Jordan, highlighting the recent financing of the Salt-Al-Aridah road expansion and rehabilitation project, which the ministry completed last May. He expressed the ministry's desire to leverage Chinese expertise in relevant fields to enhance the skills of its staff and improve service delivery to citizens. Chen praised the ministry's efforts in improving road and infrastructure efficiency in Jordan and expressed optimism about expanding cooperation between the two countries. At the conclusion of the meeting, Abu Saman and Chen signed certificates of completion for the Salt-Al-Aridah Road project, funded by a Chinese grant of JD22.5 million, while the total project cost was approximately JD25.8 million.
