KUWAIT, Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali, Governor of Kuwait City, said that the popup committee formed between the Capital Governorate and Kuwait Voluntary Work Center will start field work in the historical Mubarakiya Souq. The joint committee held a meeting on Tuesday, attended by the Governor and Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, chairperson of the voluntary work center, in which they discussed drawing a framework and placing systems regarding issues in Al-Mubarkiya, a statement from the governorate said. Following a trip to the historical Souq, the committee was able to pinpoint issues regarding cleanliness, amenities, public facilities and start coming up with a plan to restore them and maintain the invaluable beauty of its heritage.
