The Joint Committee for Preparing Price Lists and Specifications for Works and Supplies Works Items held a meeting today, Wednesday, headed by the Chairman of the Supreme Authority for Tenders Supervision, Engineer Abdul-Malik Al-Arashi, and the Authority's members, Dr. Yassin Al-Khursani and Amin Al-Jand. The meeting, which included representatives of the Ministry of Works, the Standards Authority, the Customs Authority, and the Road Maintenance Fund, was devoted to discussing aspects related to price analysis for road maintenance projects, where representatives of the Road Maintenance Fund provided clarifications of some of the points raised by some members of the committee in this aspect. It approved the need for representatives of the Road Maintenance Fund to provide the foundations and standards upon which a price analysis of road maintenance work items was prepared, as well as to address the Ministry of Industry and Trade quickly to provide the committee with price lists for construction materials , e quipment and submit them to the next meeting. At the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee, Engineer Khaled Al-Hadrami, pointed out the need for representatives of the concerned authorities in the Committee to complete the required tasks through their agencies so that the Committee can complete its work according to the specified time frame. He stressed the importance of developing price lists based on sound scientific foundations to be a reference for all parties when preparing estimated costs in their tenders and purchases of works, supplies, etc. The committee members agreed to hold meetings on a weekly and periodic basis to be able to carry out its tasks within the agreed upon time frame.
