Jerusalem Ma'an - The Jerusalem District Electricity Company condemned the attack by unknown persons on the company's office in the town of Al-Eizariya on the outskirts of Jerusalem. It said in a statement that the buildings of the Jerusalem Electricity Company in the town of Al-Eizariya, east of the city of Jerusalem, were subjected to direct gunfire on Monday evening, August 19, 2024, by unknown persons, who fired 11 bullets at the company's doors and buildings. The General Administration of the Jerusalem Company confirmed that this attack is one of a series of attacks that the company is exposed to in light of the lack of responsibility of some individuals, who did not like the company's efforts to provide electrical services and ensure their continuity. The company considered that these repeated attacks on its employees and buildings pose a threat to the lives of workers and hinder the safe provision of electricity services in areas classified as "C". The company demands the necessity of protecting its employees and capabilities from such acts of sabotage. The company confirmed that it will not stop providing the services that its subscribers deserve, and will continue to take the necessary legal measures to protect our rights and the rights of our subscribers in all our franchise areas.
