JEA announces operation to restore, rehabilitate hospitals in Gaza

President of the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) Ahmad Samara Zoubi announced the JEA's decision to restore and rehabilitate a number of hospitals damaged by the ongoing Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip, including Al-Wafa Hospital, Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, and the laboratory and blood testing building at Al-Shifa Hospital. During a ceremony honoring the JEA's pioneering civil engineers on Sunday, Zoubi explained that the JEA's board will also work to empty the Sheikh Radwan pond, in cooperation with experts from Gaza, noting that a joint workshop will be held to dispose of the pond's contents. He announced the formation of a team of 12 engineers to restore heritage and archaeological sites in Gaza, especially the Saraya site, the Omari Mosque and castles, utilizing the expertise of architects who worked on the restoration of the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus. Additionally, Zoubi said that the JEA has implemented three relief campaigns to support Gaza and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, stres sing that donations will continue to be transformed into relief projects, including the provision of drinking water, waste transportation, food, and medical supplies. He went on to say that the Palestinian people's steadfastness and rallying around the resistance was a victory equal to the October 7's, and commended the official and public position against the aggression. Zoubi stressed the necessity of participating in the parliamentary elections in light of the challenging circumstances and present issues, urging the government, parliament, and parties to discuss how to protect the country from future threats. For his part, Bashar Tarawneh, a JEA council member and head of the Civil Engineering Division, said that the pioneering civil engineers contributed greatly to building the reputation of the Jordanian engineer, noting that Jordan has more than 60,000 civil engineers.
