Israeli troops open fire on civilian car in Nablus, killing Palestinian teen

Israeli occupation forces on Friday opened fire on a civilian car northwestern the West Bank city of Nablus, killing a Palestinian teen and wounding another.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the victim as Fawzi Makhalfa, 18, adding that the Israeli troops detained the injured passenger.

Earlier, a Palestinian teen was killed and another injured in an Israeli shooting near Umm Safa Village, north of Ramallah.

Mohammad Al-Bayyed, 17, from the Al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah, succumbed to his critical head wounds shortly after he was taken to hospital, the ministry said in a press release.

Another teen was injured in confrontations with Israeli occupation forces following an Israeli military incursion into the Umm Safa Village, it added.

Dozens of Palestinians pelted stones at Israeli occupation forces while trying to move into the village, which has been under continued attacks by Jewish settlers for several weeks.
