Israeli Occupation Takes Control of Rafah Crossing, Stops Movement of Passengers and Entry of Aid into Gaza

Gaza: The Israeli occupation army penetrated into Rafah crossing across the border with the Arab Republic of Egypt and closed it completely, halting passenger movement and the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip. The occupation vehicles stormed the crossing amid heavy fire on its buildings and occupied it completely, preventing the movement of travelers, especially the sick and wounded, and the entry of humanitarian aid, or the transfer of accumulated aid to the people of the Gaza Strip in the southern and northern regions, which portends famine and real danger to the lives of patients. Palestinian medical sources confirmed that closing the Rafah crossing condemns cancer patients to death in light of the collapse of the health system in the Strip. The Rafah crossing is considered the lifeline for residents of the Gaza Strip, and the only land crossing for the entry of aid and the evacuation of the injured.
