RAMALLAH: A child was shot dead and two other young men were injured by live ammunition tonight during confrontations with Israeli occupation forces in the Deir Ammar refugee camp, northwest of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian security sources. The sources reported to WAFA that Israeli occupation forces stormed the Deir Ammar refugee camp, triggering confrontations in which Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition at local residents protesting their raid into the town. As a result, three locals, including the child who was identified as Atallah Ziad Badaha, 16, sustained gunshot wounds. The child, who was shot in the chest, was announced dead of his critical wounds a few minutes later. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated performed CPR on the severely injured child in an attempt to save his life before he succumbed to his wounds.
