RAMALLAH: A Palestinian young man was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces today during confrontations in the town of Abwein, located north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to medical sources. The Ministry of Health said Ahmed Mahmoud Muhareb, 28, succumbed to his injuries from Israeli gunfire that hit him in the abdomen in the town of Abwein. Large-scale forces of the Israeli occupation army had earlier stormed the town from its main entrances, before they embarked on raiding several neighborhoods, sparking intense confrontations during which the forces fired toxic gas canisters and live ammunition towards the residents. Palestinian security sources informed WAFA that three civilians were shot with live bullets in the abdomen and leg, including Muhareb, who was critically injured in the abdomen. The Health Ministry later announced his death. Source: Palestine news and Information Agency – WAFA
