Israeli occupation forces detained five Palestinian civilians today and confiscated their vehicles as they tried to pass through a military checkpoint to the south of Nablus, north of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources. The sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces set up a temporary checkpoint on the road connecting the village of Yanoun and the town of Aqraba. At the checkpoint, the soldiers proceeded to inspect Palestinian vehicles, physically assaulting several civilians passing through. Five Palestinians were subsequently arrested, and their vehicles were seized by army. Meantime, the Israeli occupation forces prevented local Palestinian farmers from continuing to harvest olives in their own lands west of Yanoun village.
