This early morning, Israeli occupation forces arrested Sheikh Najeh Bkerat, the Deputy Director of the Islamic Waqf in Jerusalem, after raiding his residence in the village of Dar Salah, in the occupied West Bank province of Bethlehem, according to Palestinian security sources. The sources reported that Israeli forces thoroughly searched Sheikh Bkerat's house before apprehending him. It's worth noting that Sheikh Bkerat hails from the neighborhood of Sur Baher in occupied Jerusalem. Under Israeli orders, he has been forced to stay outside his home city of Jerusalem for the past five months. In another incident, Israeli occupation forces raided the nearby village of Janata, east of Bethlehem, where they arrested a 16-year-old teenager. The forces carried out a search of his family's home during the raid. Source: Palestine news and Information Agency – WAFA – English
