Ramallah Ma'an - Israeli human rights organizations warned the international community that it would be an accomplice to the crime if Israel displaces the residents of the northern Gaza Strip. Today, Israeli human rights organizations have called on the international community to act now to prevent Israel from displacing the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who remain in the northern Gaza Strip outside the area, and it is doing so, among other means, by preventing the entry of essential humanitarian relief and fuel. Organizations participating in the Israeli ceasefire coalition (including Gisha, Physicians for Human Rights-Israel, B'Tselem, and Yesh Din) said there were worrying indications that the IDF had begun to unannouncedly implement the "Generals' Plan," also known as the "Eiland Plan," which calls for the forcible transfer of all residents of northern Gaza by tightening the blockade on the area and starving the population. These organizations also reiterated their position that the world has a responsibility to prevent the crimes of starvation and forced transfer. If the countries of the world continue to follow a policy of waiting, allowing Israel to eliminate the northern Gaza Strip, they will be complicit in this. The organizations called on all countries and relevant international bodies to act now and to use all available tools - judicial, diplomatic and economic - to prevent this. The organizations that signed the statement are: B'Tselem, Gisha - Legal Center for Freedom of Expression, Physicians for Human Rights - Israel, and Yesh Din. Source: Maan News Agency
