Israeli Forces Shoot and Injure Palestinian North of Jerusalem

Ar-ram: Israeli occupation forces shot and injured a Palestinian man in the town of ar-Ram, located north of occupied East Jerusalem. The incident was confirmed by the Palestinian Red Crescent (PRCS).

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the incident occurred near the illegal apartheid wall, where soldiers opened fire, hitting the man in the chest with live ammunition. The injured individual was transported to a hospital and is reported to be in serious condition.

Before the escalation of conflicts in October 2023, around 390,000 Palestinians were employed in Israel. However, the onset of the war led to the revocation of many work permits, forcing some to risk their lives for temporary employment. Since the conflict began, the General Federation of Palestinian Trade Unions has documented the deaths of 42 workers and the detention of 32,000 individuals by occupation forces.

The International Court of Justice issued an Advisory Opinion in July 2004, declaring the wall illegal and urging Israel to dismantle it.
