Israeli Forces Install Iron Gate Isolating Sinjil Town Near Ramallah

Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces today installed a new iron gate at the northern entrance of the town of Sinjil, located north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. This entrance is the only road leading into and out of the town, effectively cutting it off from surrounding areas.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, local activist Ayed Ghafri stated that Israeli forces closed the main road leading to the town and erected the gate there, sealing off access to the town entirely.

With this new closure, Sinjil is now surrounded by two iron gates and a perimeter fence that has been in place for several months, severely restricting the movement of its residents.

Local residents view the measure as part of a broader policy of collective punishment imposed by Israeli authorities. There is growing concern among the community that this could signal the beginning of a long-term closure of the town.
