Gaza: A Palestinian human rights organization said Sunday that the Israeli occupation forces have escalated their brutal crimes against Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons and practiced horrific patterns of violations that shook the conscience of humanity. According to the continuous follow-up on the harsh conditions to which prisoners are subjected after October 7, the Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights said it had monitored, from its visits to Israeli prisons, the threat of rape and documented some cases of harassment of Palestinian female prisoners from the Gaza Strip. It pointed to dozens of testimonies obtained by the center's lawyers during their visits to detainees in Israeli prisons, indicating that they were subjected to various types of physical and psychological torture. It called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities to stop the genocidal war waged by the occupation state against the Gaza Strip and to intervene immediately to stop the grave and unprece dented brutal crimes against the prisoners.
