RAMALLAH: Israeli occupation forces late last night and early Monday morning detained at least 15 Palestinians from multiple areas in the occupied West Bank. In a joint statement, the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) and the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission said Israeli forces held more than 30 citizens in the Dheisheh camp and subjected them to field investigations. The majority of them were later released. Forces also sabotaged and destroyed more than 20 houses. The statement said the number of detentions in the West Bank has risen since October 7, 2023, to about 9,855. This figure includes those who were detained from their homes and at military checkpoints and those who were forced to turn themselves in under pressure. This number does not include Palestinians detained in the Gaza Strip. Possibly thousands of Palestinians were detained by the Israeli occupation in the war-torn Gaza Strip.
