RAMALLAH: The Israeli occupation forces today detained at least 15 Palestinians, including former detainees, in large-scale arrest campaigns across the occupied West Bank over the last few hours, according to the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS). They said in a joint statement that the arrests took place across the occupied West Bank governorates of Ramallah, Jenin, Qalqilya, and Jericho. According to the statement, Israeli occupation forces continue to conduct widespread arrest campaigns involving raids, torture, brutal beatings, threats against detainees and their families, deliberate killings, and the destruction of civilian homes. The total number of Palestinians detained in the occupied West Bank has risen to over 9,040 since October 7, 2023. This figure includes individuals apprehended from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under duress, and those taken hostage. The Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaugh t since October 7 has as risen to 36,550 reported fatalities, with an additional 82,959 individuals sustaining injuries.
