Jenin: Israeli occupation forces blew up on Sunday numerous buildings owned by Palestinians in the Jenin refugee camp,

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces simultaneously blew up nearly 20 buildings on the eastern side of the camp after rigging them with explosives.

The blasts were so powerful that they were heard across the city of Jenin and parts of surrounding towns in the governorate. The director of Jenin Government Hospital, Wisam Baker, told WAFA that some sections of the hospital were damaged due to the explosions, however, no casualties were reported.

The residential buildings in Jenin refugee camp are built vertically, with each structure containing multiple apartments. As a result, a large number of families have been displaced due to the demolitions. The Israeli aggression on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp continued today for the 13th consecutive day, resulting in the killing of 25 Palestinians, the injury of dozens of others, and the detention of numerous more, along with widespread destruction of property and infrastructure.

Approximately 15,000 Palestinians were forcibly displaced from the Jenin refugee camp and the al-Hadaf neighborhood by the occupation, forcing them to seek refuge in several villages and towns across the governorate. The city’s hospitals are grappling with a severe water shortage due to the targeting and destruction of water supply lines by Israeli forces. Approximately 35% of the city’s population is struggling with a lack of access to water.
