JENIN: The Israeli occupation forces today demolished Palestinian-owned shacks in the village of Jalboun, northeast of Jenin, according to local sources. The head of the Jalboun Village Council, Ibrahim Abu Al-Rub, said that Israeli occupation army, accompanied by bulldozers, demolished a shack belonging to the local resident Muhammad Nafi Shalabi. Intense confrontations between local Palestinians and occupation forces erupted following the demolition operation. The forces later detained the young man and declared the village a closed military zone. Meanwhile, the occupation forces demolished several structures in the said village, including fences, a caravan, and electrical equipment. Meantime, Israeli army also demolished a sheep barn owned by two Palestinian siblings. Another Palestinian was also detained while he was passing by in his vehicle.
