TULKARM: Israeli occupation forces demolished two inhabited houses in the village of Khirbet Jbara, south of the city of Tulkarm. Raed Mahmoud, head of the village council in Jbara, said that large forces of the occupation army, accompanied by two bulldozers, surrounded the site of the demolition operation and forced the local residents to leave the area before demolishing the two houses. He added that the area of ??the two houses is 100 square meters each, and they are located in the western area of ??the village, and belong to citizens Muhammad Jbara and Awni Jbara. He pointed out that the citizens Jbara have proof papers and were notified about a month ago of the evacuation and demolition, and from the first moment they made efforts with lawyers with legal procedures, but they were surprised by the occupation bulldozers that began the demolition operation before the expiration of the notification period, and without giving their owners a deadline to evacuate their contents. In turn, the owner of one of the two houses, Muhammad Jabara, said that he was surprised by the occupation bulldozers demolishing his house without allowing him to evacuate its contents, as the occupation soldiers forced the family to leave the house by force. He pointed out that the demolition took place before the end of the period granted to them to complete the demolition suspension procedures, which is 30 days, and the demolition took place in the presence of their lawyer who was by chance present with the owners of the house, and they did not care about his request, and proceeded with the demolition and bulldozing. Jabbara confirmed that he has the legal papers that confirm his ownership of the land on which he built the one-story house. Source: Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA
