Gaza: Israeli bulldozers demolished on Wednesday a three-story building near the entrance to the village of Anza, south of Jenin. The building's owner, Hafez Abu Qiyas, reported that Israeli forces, accompanied by several military bulldozers, stormed the building and razed it to the ground several hours later.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the demolished structure consisted of a ground floor with three warehouses containing merchandise, a second floor with unoccupied apartments, and a third floor that was still under construction. Each floor measured approximately 320 square meters. Hafez Abu Qiyas shared that he had received demolition notices several months prior, along with notices for several other buildings in the area, under the pretext of building without a permit. Despite filing an objection with the Israeli courts, the demolition proceeded while the case was still pending.
The village of Anza has faced a continuous threat of demolition since August 2025, following notices from the Israeli authorities targeting 16 structures. Meanwhile, raids and incursions into the village continue.
