Gaza: Israeli forces demolished on Wednesday a factory and agricultural structures and razed land in the town of Beit Ula, northwest of Hebron. Beit Ula Mayor Mahmoud al-Sarrahin reported that the forces stormed the al-Mikhd area, west of the town, targeting a factory that produced solar panel mounts and decorated iron.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Wael Abu Habtain 'Farash,' a member of the committee monitoring and strengthening the resilience of citizens in western Beit Ula, stated that the factory covered an area of over 800 square meters and was owned by Ishaq Muhammad al-Atrash and Rajai al-Amleh. The demolition extended to agricultural structures of about 20 square meters, belonging to Muhammad Khalid Sidr, Osama Farash, and Ahmad Yusuf al-Amleh.
The forces also razed stone walls and land planted with olive trees and other crops, covering an area of 1,500 square meters, which surrounded the facility. Residents expressed their shock at the sudden demolition process, which affected factory components, including equipment, machinery, barracks, goods, offices, and other facilities, leaving them unable to evacuate their belongings.
Abu Habtain 'Farash' highlighted that this marks the fourth factory demolition in the area, resulting in losses estimated at millions of dollars for the factory owners, disrupting the employment of hundreds of laborers, and exacerbating the unemployment rate.
