JERUSALEM: Israeli occupation forces today demolished a house and three commercial shops in the town of Biddu, northwest of occupied Jerusalem. Local sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the town and demolished a house containing a private garden and a swimming pool belonging to the citizen Wael Al-Saifi, three shops, and a 150-meter-long retaining wall. Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank last October, and in parallel with the unprecedented destruction of homes, buildings and facilities in the Strip, the demolition of citizens' homes has escalated, especially in the so-called Area C, which constitutes about 60% of the West Bank. Data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission show that the occupation authorities carried out 62 demolition operations during the month of August.
