Israeli Forces Conduct Raids in Villages Near Ramallah

Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces on Monday evening conducted multiple raids in a cluster of villages to the north and east of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to security and local sources.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the occupying forces escorted colonists into an archaeological site in Sinjil, while a convoy of army vehicles stormed Turmus Ayya. Despite the military presence, no Palestinian was detained during these operations.

The forces also entered the village of al-Mughayyir, where soldiers fired tear gas canisters, leading to several cases of suffocation among the residents. These actions are part of frequent raids conducted by the occupation forces across the West Bank, often under the pretext of searching for 'wanted' Palestinians, which typically result in clashes with local residents.

These raids are carried out without search warrants, as the military possesses broad and arbitrary powers to act at any time and place of its choosing. Under Israeli military law, army commanders hold comprehensive executive, legislative, and judicial authority over the 3 million Palestinians residing in the West Bank, with Palestinians having no input in the exercise of this authority.
