Israeli Forces Attack Civilians’ Houses Near Salfit

Salfit: Israeli occupation forces Thursday evening attacked civilians' houses in the Kifl Haris town, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Salfit. The forces stormed the town and restricted the residents' movement to facilitate colonists' access to local Islamic shrines.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the incident is part of ongoing tensions in the region. Israel refers to the occupied West Bank as 'Judea and Samaria,' a terminology used to bolster its claims to the area, citing historical and religious connections.

The presence of approximately 1 million Israeli colonists in the West Bank and East Jerusalem is considered a violation of international law. These settlements have been a longstanding point of contention in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
